Teresa C. (D’Angelo) Presutti, of Newburgh, NY, beloved mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend, entered into rest on June 24, 2023 surrounded by her family and loved ones. She was 84. Daughter of the late Liberato and Rose (Tarantino) D’Angelo, she was born on July 2, 1938 in Newburgh, NY. She married Michael J. Presutti on April 25, 1959 in Sacred Heart Church, Newburgh.

Teresa was employed with Central Hudson Gas & Electric Co. following her graduation from High School. She had many interests, Teresa loved to bowl and was on a league in her younger years and proved her bowling skills with many high scores. She also had an interest in painting and took classes to fulfill that talent. Teresa had a love of music and learned to play the piano, and she enjoyed playing the organ as well. She was a huge Elvis Presley fan and enjoyed listening to his records even into her senior years.

Teresa had a very strong knowledge and a head for business and proved that with several businesses that she helped create and manage with great success with her husband Mickey; which included a backhoe service, successful pizzerias and Kinney’s Sporting Goods Store. Teresa also had a love of the outdoors. Camping, fishing and gardening were a few of her favorite outdoor activities. She traveled with her husband and their beloved dog in their motorhome to many camping adventures, which she spoke very fondly of.

Teresa’s family meant the world to her. Through many family gatherings and holidays, she left us with priceless memories of family events, from the “Christmas morning breakfast”, to the famous “New Year’s Day” homemade pasta gatherings, Fourth of July events and super “Super Bowl Parties”. She had a unique knack to make everyone feel at home with her wonderful hospitality. We will miss those times, but treasure the memories and only hope that we can keep the traditions going.

But what really describes the person that Teresa was, was her faith. Teresa was a true “peace maker” and proved that over and over again throughout her life. She loved going to Mass and enveloped herself in prayer and devotion to her Catholic faith. Always humble, always compassionate and always ready to help anyone in need. Teresa was a great listener and displayed wisdom to all that knew her throughout her life time. Her honesty, humility and her conviction to always do the “right thing” molded her to be the strong woman she was and she passed that great gift onto each of her children.

Teresa was a loving mother and her children, Michael, Michelle, and Mark, were the light of her life! She adored her children and raised them with great pride. Even as adults, no matter what the circumstance, we knew we could always count on Mom to walk through that door and everything was going to be alright, and it was. She loved her grandchildren deeply, Nicholas, Angelia, Kevin, Jarrett, Elizabeth, Tara, Danny, and Kari and imparted her wisdom and compassion which emanated from her caring and supportive heart. She felt very blessed to have gained the title “great-grandma” with her great-grandchildren Keanu, Lacey and Milayna, who all filled her heart with great joy and were the apple of her eye. The legacy of her diligent encouragement, guidance, support and kindness to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren will no doubt continue. In her final days, she reminded us all to love one another, stay together, go to each other’s homes for all celebrations, but most of all, she told us to love God, above all things.

Survivors include her children: Michael J. Presutti Jr. and his wife Paula of Marlboro, NY; Michelle (Presutti) Cirigliano and her husband John of Wallkill NY; Mark V.
