The Town of Newburgh Planning Board voted to recirculate for lead agency the project known as Longview Farm, a 27 lot subdivision with three storm water management parcels and a roadway and was proposed before the board in a four section site plan during their regular meeting on Thursday, January 19. The proposed project was represented by T.M. Depuy Engineering & Land Surveying, PC.

The project is located on property located in between Barbara Drive, Holmes Road, Dara Drive, Taylors Way and Summer Drive. The project’s first appearance was in 2006 and a public hearing was held in 2008.

Addressing the town’s tree ordinance, the land does not have many trees on it but there is proposed clearing. Comments from MHE Engineering requested a new Environmental Assessment Form be completed by the applicant and Health Department approvals are still in place and approved. Additional culvert work, stormwater management and drainage work will need to be conducted and reviewed by the town. The project is set to return before the planning board at their next meeting on March 2.
