Marlboro Free Library launches community survey

Posted
The Marlboro Free Library is seeking community input to shape its future programs and services. A community survey has been initiated for this purpose. Participants can access the survey online via the library’s website, marlborolibrary.org, or obtain a paper copy directly from the library. Completed surveys must be returned to the library by Friday, May 24.
Survey participants will have the option to enter a drawing for a gift card to a local business.

The Marlboro Library invites all interested individuals to join its Book Club meeting in May. The meeting is scheduled to take place at the library on Wednesday, May 29, at 7 p.m. Attendees will discuss “A Thousand Ships” by Natalie Haynes. Copies of the book are available for pickup at the library’s circulation desk. Registration is mandatory for virtual attendance and can be completed online at marlborolibrary.org.

Residents are encouraged to connect with nature and neighbors through the MFL Walking Club. Weather permitting, the club will convene on select Wednesdays from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. The upcoming meeting dates are May 15, June 5, July 10 and 24, and August 7 and 21. Interested individuals should consult the library’s online calendar for meeting locations and weather-related updates. To receive cancellation notifications, RSVP at marlborolibrary.org.

Vet2Vet Coffee Hour,  Fridays at the Marlboro Library
In partnership with Vet2Vet of Ulster County and the Hudson Valley Center for Veteran Reintegration (HVNCVR), the Marlboro Library will host a Veteran Coffee Hour every Friday from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. The event aims to provide a supportive environment for veterans to connect, share experiences, and seek support. All veterans, regardless of discharge status, are welcome to participate. The coffee hour will take place in the Marlboro Library community room, with walk-ins accepted.

MFL Hook & Needle: Knitting & Crocheting Group
Knitting and crocheting enthusiasts are invited to join the Marlboro Free Library for an informal meetup every 2nd and 4th Monday (unless otherwise noted), from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. While the meetup offers a supportive environment for these crafts, it is self-led, and guided instructions and supplies will not be provided. Meetings are scheduled for May 13, and June 10 and 24. RSVP at marlborolibrary.org, with walk-ins welcome.

 School Lunch Hero Day
The Marlboro Central School district recently celebrated School Lunch Hero Day, expressing gratitude to the hard-working food service team members for their dedication in providing meals to students.
The district will host an art show featuring works from students in Grades K-12 at the District Office, located at 21 Milton Turnpike. The opening celebration will be held on Tuesday, May 21, from 5 to 7 p.m. The show will remain on display until Tuesday, May 28, offering an opportunity to support student artists.
