The Walker Valley Fire Department

I am writing this letter to praise the heroic members of the Walker Valley Fire Department, for the many years they have come to the aid of my elderly mother. Whether it was into the late hours of the morning or during the day time, they responded with a quick and orderly dispatch. Their professionalism goes above and beyond their volunteer status, as we and others have consistently waited for an ambulance to arrive at our location. As a former retired Police Officer for the Town of Shawangunk Police, I was always relieved to know whenever I arrived at the scene of a serious accident or a medical call for help with Walker Valley Fire, Wallkill Fire or Shawangunk Valley Fire, they were there and knew exactly what to do. The Walker Valley Fire Department has very well trained Fireman and EMS Personnel. This is a credit to their Fire Chief and his staff, and EMS Expert Dave Grass and all the other volunteers that give their time away from family and events to take time out to help us in our need. These brave men and women deserve your respect and gratitude. As you pass by give them a beep and a wave, and maybe a financial gift to the departments. As to all volunteer Fire Departments and Volunteer Ambulance service members that need to try to assemble a team to get there as quickly as they can, who else these days give their time and resources and get nothing back but our thanks? In many cases, that thanks as you wait for an ambulance or are injured or sick may be that they saved your life as they have many times. They always need new members to join. If you’re interested in any of those two fields. Reach out to them, stop in and say hello. I am sure you will get a warm welcome. Myself and my family just want to thank them for all their help.  Special thanks to Cody Carroll and Paige Cerillo for being there each time. I cant mention all the names there are too many to say. But thank you. Mom is doing well thanks to you.
