Registration open for Crawford summer camp

Happy St. Patrick’s Day and Happy Passover, and Happy Easter to all of our readers!

Town of Crawford After-School Fitness Classes: The Town of Crawford is offering free after-school fitness classes for resident high-school students from April 10th to June 19th. The program is funded by Orange County Solutions through the OC Youth Bureau. It includes cardio, resistance training, and yoga. For more information, please email or call at 845-744-8230.

Town of Crawford Summer Camp: The Town of Crawford Summer Camp is now full day: 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. Applications for campers and camp counselors are available on the town website: townofcrawford.org.

Pine Bush Teachers Association Retired Chapter’s Travel Committee: The Pine Bush Teachers Association Retired Chapter’s Travel Committee has planned a new and exciting day trip on Tuesday, May 16, 2023. The itinerary includes a tour of the Museum of Broadway, lunch at Carmines, and then a tour of the Gilded Age of New York. The cost is $160, and the group will leave from behind the Pine Bush Firehouse on RT 52, Pine Bush, NY at 7:30 a.m. Sign up as soon as possible by calling Jeanne Daum with questions or concerns at 845-255-2205.

Pine Bush All Night Graduation Bingo: The Pine Bush All Night Graduation Bingo will be held on Thursday, March 30, at the Town of Wallkill Golf Course. For more information, contact Cara Robertson at 845-978-0619. Tickets are available to purchase with Allison at Hearts and Flowers Florist.

Pine Bush Central School District: The next Board of Education meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 28, at 7 pm at Circleville Middle School and Tuesday, April 11, at 7 p.m. at Pine Bush High School Cafeteria. The 2023/2024 budget building process will begin.

Pine Bush Central School District will be closed on Friday, March 17, for Superintendent’s Conference Day. The district will also be closed for Spring Recess from Monday, April 3, through Friday, April 7.

The Pine Bush Seniors organization is excited to announce their upcoming trip to Paterson, NJ to enjoy a lovely luncheon at the famous venue, The Brownstone. The event will take place on April 19, and will feature live entertainment by The Jersey Dreamers.

The bus will depart from the Town of Crawford Community Center located at Rte 302, Pine Bush, at 9 a.m. The cost for the trip is $59/person and includes transportation, luncheon, and entertainment. For more information or to reserve a spot, please contact Maria at (845) 744-8548.

Pine Bush Little League: The Pine Bush Little League is now accepting registrations for the 2023 Season. All registrations are being done online through the league website at pinebushlittleleague.org.

If your child attends Pine Bush Elementary, EJR, Crispell, or the High School, they are eligible to play in the PBLL, regardless of your address! For more information, please visit the website or email info@pinebushlittleleague.org.

Library News: AARP tax aide still has a few openings available on March 24 & 31. In April, the 7th and the 14th have a few openings left. Call 211 to schedule an appointment.

Join us at the library for some St. Patrick’s Day treats on the 16th from 12:30-3 pm. Listen to the Ukulele Group play the Irish tunes.

On March 22 at 1:30 p.m., come and get some update tips on buying or selling your home. Children’s programs are still going strong. You must sign up as space is limited. Toddlers meet on Mondays at 10:30 and the preschoolers meet on Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m. Have you met Mocha, our R.E.A.D. dog? Please call 744-3375, ext 3 to register for a time slot.
