Randi Picarello for Village Trustee

Posted

The Village of Montgomery has been our home for 29 years. As a Valley Central Middle School teacher (1981-2012), I have witnessed the impact of each of the five communities on its children.  Those who grew up in our Village have been especially lucky!

This election our village will have a great opportunity to further the good work of the Board of Trustees by choosing Randi Picarello on March 21.

In many ways, Randi is the ideal candidate.  She is pragmatic, hard working, and forward thinking.  At the same time, Randi was raised and schooled in Montgomery and has a deep respect for our village’s history and traditions.

We first met Randi when she took over the bakery on Clinton St.  In an instant, we sensed that she was someone special. Her work ethic was off the charts (as were her breads, pies, cakes, and cookies!)  We became loyal customers, following her to the new Eat This Bakery on Union St. Observing Randi in this new and expanded setting, we were impressed by her patient guidance of her young employees as she trained them in their duties. From this it became clear that Randi is both a leader and a team player: what wonderful character traits to bring to our Village Board!

The Board of Trustees have guided the Village admirably, but gradually our generation must pass on the mantle to the next generation.  Electing Randi, who is wise beyond her mere 37 years, is a needed step forward.
