Most Precious Blood Knights of Columbus Council No. 9254 continues to provide take-out Lenten Dinners on Friday nights during Lent until March 31st. Pick up is at MPB Father Sullivan Hall. Dinners can be picked up between 5 and 6 p.m. All meals are $10. each and takeout only! Please call (845) 778-6664 by 11 p.m. Thursday to place your order with name, phone number and number of dinners.
On March 24, the menu is 2 battered Cod Filets, French Fries, Vegetable and Cookies. On March 31, the menu is Parmesan Tilapia, Garlic Mashed Potatoes, Vegetable, Biscuit and Cookies.

The Walden Humane Society, 2489 Albany Post Road, Walden will hold their next indoor yard sale on Saturday, April 1, 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. Many special items can be purchased. All purchases benefit the care of the animals at the shelter.

The Fox Hill Bruderhof Community has rescheduled their Craft and Bake Sale at the Coleman Corners Farm Stand to Saturday. March 25, 12 - 4 p.m.
A special feature at this event is an outdoor pancake on the griddle with their first of the season maple syrup. Not to be missed.
The Walden Fire Department will host a Spring Craft Vendor Show on Sunday, March 26, 12 noon - 4 p.m. at the Walden Firehouse, 30 local vendors are participating. Snacks will be sold as well as raffles and 50/50s. For info, contact Capt. Hall at 629-3444.

The Town of Montgomery Seniors Independence Project is hosting a free Senior Resource Day on Wednesday, March 29, 1 - 3 p.m. at Montgomery Town Hall, ll0 Bracken Road. The program includes, Alzheimer Research Update, Update on Services for Adult Protection, Movement and Music with Holistic Imagination programs, refreshments and door prizes. The Village of Walden Recreation and Parks Department will hold their Annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 1, at 10 a.m. at James W. Olley Community Park.
Participants will be split into the following age groups: 0-4 years; 5-7 years and 8-11 years. Prizes awarded for the two children in each age group who find the GOLDEN egg! Fun for the whole family. Bring your basket and meet the Easter Bunny!

Don’t forget to join the library on Thursday, March 23 6:30 p.m. for a very special program featuring author Marisa Scheinfeld as she presents “The Borscht Belt: Revisiting the Remains of America’s Jewish Vacationland”. This was a pivotal era in American Jewish history. Ms. Scheinfeld will talk about the Catskill Mountain region of upstate New York, recalling the nostalgic summers Saturday night dances and comedy performances. This illustrated lecture will feature Marisa’s photographs of abandoned sites where resorts, hotels and bungalow colonies once boomed in the Catskills. Ms. Scheinfeld will discuss the rise, fall and impact of the Borscht Belt and offer a deeper, more layered meaning of the year-round havens. Copies of the book will be available for purchase and signing.
