On Sunday at 9:31 p.m. multiple agencies responded to a structure fire at 10 Union Street in the Village of Montgomery.

Montgomery Fire Chief Robert Reynolds Jr. noted that the fire was small. He added that it was caused by someone burning weeds with a propane torch.

Firefighters from the Montgomery, Coldenham, Bullville, Maybrook, Pine Bush and Washingtonville fire departments responded to the scene. The fire was extinguished quickly. Coldenham and Montgomery firefighters remained on scene to make sure the fire did not spread.

Reynolds added that no one was injured in the fire.
