The Village of Maybrook Police is pleased to announce the hiring of Ricky Maldonado as a police officer.

Maldonado will be attending Phase 2 of the New York State Basic Course for Police beginning on Sept. 13 at the Orange County Police Chief’s Academy in Middletown.

He served over seven years with the U.S. Marine Corps and is fluent in Spanish. Chief of Police Arnold Amthor, Mayor Dennis Leahy as well as the village board ask residents to welcome him as the newest officer who they all feel will be a valuable asset in Maybrook.

Maldonado is the first of what will be additional new hires in the future.
