Marion DeZemo, age 90, of Walden passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 9, 2022.
She was born May 29, 1931 in New York, NY to John and Ann Lilienthal. She graduated from Valley Central Schools and was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, while taking care of all the neighborhood children. If you lived in Walden, you knew Marion.
Marion is preceded in death by her loving husband (George DeZemo) and her two daughter-in-laws (Dawn DeZemo and Maureen DeZemo).
Marion is survived by her sons Michael DeZemo (Debra) and John DeZemo, her 5 grandchildren Jason Gillespie (Shannon), Jessica Woodson (Keith), Joshua DeZemo (Renee), Jim DeZemo (Michelle), and Becky DeZemo (Ryan), her 7 greatgrandchildren Emma, Sophia, Avery, Peyton, Lena, Wyatt, and Hudson. Marion is also survived by many friends, extended family, and those she picked up along the way because that was her nature. She was everyone’s Gimmy Gim or GMick.
There will be no services at this time; however, there will be a celebration of life in the spring. More details to follow at a later date.
