Joan P. Holbert passed away peacefully on February 14, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. Joan is now reunited with her husband Richard Holbert, whom she devoted her life to.

Joan was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, hitting the slots at the casino and a glass of Blackberry Brandy.

She was full of love, smiles, and laughs, and was a loyal friend. She was a member of the Maybrook Seniors Group and Montgomery Seniors Group. She enjoyed playing games at Trinity Lutheran Church.

Joan is survived by her sons Mark Holbert and his wife Suzy of Wallkill, David Holbert and wife Maureen (Rory) of Montgomery; grandchildren Karen Holbert of Montgomery, David Holbert Jr and wife Eileen of North Carolina, Alison Cacace and husband Bryan of Wallkill, Brian Holbert and wife Jaclyn of Farmingdale, Rachel Mayendia and husband Jorge of Highland; great grandchildren Jayden Holbert, Elisa, Alessandra, Gabriella, Savannah, David and Jaxon Holbert, Dominick, Olivia, and Ella Cacace, Jack, Justin, and Natalie Ciardullo, Morgan and Dylan Holbert, Lucy and Dean Mayendia, and several nieces and nephews.

She was the daughter of the late Clarence and Agnes Walsh of Walden, NY.

Along with her husband and parents she was predeceased by her brothers Clarence and Robert Walsh.

Visitation will take place Friday February 21, 2025, 2pm-4pm and 6pm-8pm at Millspaugh Funeral Home, 22 Bank St., Walden, NY 12586.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held Saturday February 22, 2025, 11am at Holy Name of Mary Church, 89 Union St., Montgomery, NY 12549.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Orange and Sullivan, 800 Stony Brook Court, Newburgh, NY 12550.
