Frank V. Guarino entered into eternal rest on September 6, 2021, at the age of 86.  

The son of the late Vincenzo and Jeanette Jozwicki Guarino, he was born in New York, NY on August 15, 1935.  

Frank was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, actively serving from Sept. 1955-Sept. 1959 followed by the US Naval Reserves until 1961.  He was last assigned to Squadron Two (HU-2) NAS, Lakehurst NJ.  Frank graduated with a Bachelor’s degree from SUNY New Paltz majoring in Psychology.  He was retired from the NYS Department of Corrections.  He was formerly employed with the U.S. Postal Service, Narcotic Addiction Control Commission and with Rikers Island, City of New York.  He had a passion for tropical fish, photography and video production.  

Frank’s love of children led him to foster dozens of children in need for over a decade, many who continued to reach out to him.  During his retirement, Frank was the past President of the Mid-Hudson Single Professionals, member of The Sons of the Desert and member of the American Legion. He was a lifter at the Feast of Giglio and a supporter of the Sons of San Paolino.  He was a true believer in Christmas and enjoyed summer vacations at Seaside Heights.  He is fondly remembered for his summer BBQ’s & pool parties.  

He is survived by this daughters Nancy Guarino (Stephen), Jeanie Kipp (Bob), Pamela Cole (Jim) and Valerie Rhodes (Dan).  He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren Robert Pfleger III (Courtney), Randi Babb (Mike), Ryan Pfleger (Beth), Daniel Rhodes (Theresa), Matthew Rhodes (Adrienne), James Cole (Brittany), Kyle Cole (Kaelyn) and his great grandchildren; Gia Pfleger, Karson Rhodes, Lauren Summers, Audria & Callie Cole.  He is also survived by the mother of his children, Carol Andersen and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Vincent and Andrew. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and aides at Garnet Health Medical Center. Graveside services will be held on Friday September 10, 2021 at 11am at the Orange County Veterans Cemetery in Goshen NY.
