Clean house at VC

Posted

Make no mistake Superintendent of Schools John Xanthis resigned because of acute pressure from the residents of VCSD. From a catastrophic decision to keep Montgomery Elementary School open during a Police investigation into a bomb scare to claims of bullying and retaliation from Central Office  against teachers, principals, administrators and service personal, what else should he have done?

There should, must be more to come! The VCBOE appointed Interim Superintendent Mike Bellarosa at the Special Meeting on June 22. It is now up to Mr. Bellarosa to clean out the underlying problem, Marrianne Serratorre.

Hundreds of letters have been received by the BOE and unprecedented amounts of people have spoke at BOE meetings of the unjust bullying and fear inflicted on VC staff. This cannot be allowed! Currently she is pushing her weight around to fire Tammy Coleman. Ms. Coleman, by ALL reports is an excellent employee. On her last evaluation (and only) report she is characterized by Central Office as a “potential to be outstanding”. It is up to Michael Bellarosa and the VCBOE to take action. Staff at VC cannot work in such a toxic environment, it is not good for our teachers and administrators, but most important a toxic building environment is not good for our CHILDREN! So Mr. Bellarosa read ALL the letters, watch all the BOE meeting comments. Read the letters from past Sup’t of schools Mr. Hooley to former OC Legislator Ms. Bonacic to the hundreds of voices asking for the firing of Marianne Serratore.

Help clean VC from a toxic environment to a healing environment. This is what is best for our children.
