TOWN OF HIGHLANDS PUBLIC NOTICE

Notice of Receipt of Tax Roll and Warrant As of August 30, 2024, Take Notice, that I, Regina Taylor, the undersigned Receiver of Taxes of the Town of Highlands, County of Orange and State of New York, have duly received the tax roll and warrant for the collection of school taxes within the Town of Highlands for the year 2024 and that I will attend at Town Hall, 254 Main Street, in said Town of Highlands from September 3, 2024 to November 4, 2024 for the purpose of receiving taxes listed on the said roll. Payments for this collection cycle may be made by mail, dropbox, online or in-person during posted hours or appointment only. Take Further Notice, that taxes may be paid on or before September 30, 2024 or the 30th day from the date of receipt of the tax roll and warrant, whichever is later without charge or interest. On all taxes received after such date, there shall be added interest 1 percent paid on or before October 31, 2024 and an additional 2 percent for each additional month or fraction thereafter until such taxes are paid or until the return of the unpaid taxes to the county treasurer pursuant to law. Take Further Notice that pursuant to the provisions of law the school district tax roll of the Town of Highlands will be returned to the County Treasurer of the County of Orange on the 5th day of November 2024.
