The Valley Central School District commenced its search for the District’s next Superintendent of Schools under the direction and assistance of Orange-Ulster BOCES this summer and the community is invited to take part in the process.

Under Orange-Ulster BOCES leadership, faculty/staff, parents, students and community members are invited to give their perspective on the traits and characteristics the new leader should offer. As part of the engagement process, three forums will be held during the month of August. The District also shared that the BOCES team will meet with groups of middle school and high school student representatives to gain their vision and viewpoint.

The forums will be held August 17, 2022:
1 p.m. – Students
3 p.m. – Faculty/Staff

6 p.m. - Community Members

The District is requesting that community members interested in attending the forums contact Ellen McGoldrick, District Clerk at ellen.mcgoldrick@vcsdny.org or via phone at (845) 457-2400, ext. 18511.

An online community survey is also available for anyone interested in participating. The survey is open to anyone whether you attend the forum or not. Please visit ouboces.org/valleycentralsurvey to complete the survey.

The District is currently taking applications for the Superintendent position and the deadline to apply is August 19, 2022. Applicants interested in the position can visit the school district website: vcsd.k12.ny.us/ for additional information regarding how to apply.
