Trunk or Treat to return

The City of Newburgh is excited to announce the return of its annual Trunk or Treat event this Halloween.

The City of Newburgh in partnership with the Church at the Bridge, will host the Trunk or Treat event on Sunday, October 31 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Broadway between Liberty Street and Grand Street.

During the event, children are invited to a safe and family-friendly trick or treat adventure around decorated vehicles from the City of Newburgh Police Department and volunteers, with trunks open and full of candy. The event is FREE, safe and fun for all ages! There will be candy, popcorn, live music and more! Everyone attending is encouraged to dress up.

Last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Trunk or Treat was a drive-thru activity. While this year’s event will be in person, the public is encouraged to follow social distancing protocols and wear face masks throughout the duration of the event.

Any person or organization interested in volunteering, donating pre-packaged candy, or providing a decorated vehicle trunk should contact Ms. Maritza Wilson at the City of Newburgh Recreation Department by phone at 845-569-7373 or email at mwilson@cityofnewburgh-ny.gov.
