Senator James Skoufis (D-Central Valley) will host two free community events this month, including a first-ever Pumpkin Painting gathering for local families on Friday, October 22 from 4:30 p.m. - 6 p.m. in the parking lot of the Senator’s district office at 47 Grand Street.

Guests are welcome to show off their spookiest costumes, and no prior registration is required. In case of rain, Pumpkin Painting will be held at the Armory Unity Center at 321 S William St, Newburgh, NY 12550.

Saturday, October 30, Skoufis will partner with the Newburgh Free Library, The City of Newburgh Planning and Development Department, and Legal Shred to host a Community Shred Event at the Library from 11 a.m. - 2 pm. Legal Shred’s mobile shred unit will be on hand to provide local residents with a safe, convenient, and environmentally responsible option for disposing of sensitive personal and legal documents.

Their services are being provided for free thanks to the generosity of the City of Newburgh.
