Outspoken School Board Member Darren Stridiron led the field of candidates by a wide margin on Tuesday, winning re-election.

Stridiron, who opposed the buyout of School Superintendent Roberto Padilla in December, when the board approved the $300,000 separation package for the superintendent, tallied 1163 votes. Running mates John Doerre (785 votes) and Jerry Ryan Lamar (765) were also elected to three-year terms on the school board.
Judy LeRoy finished fourth in the balloting with 727 votes.

Incumbent Carol Maida, who supported the Padilla buyout, finished last in the voting with 416 votes.

Voters also approved the school budget by a margin of 983-472 and the Library proposition by a 1079-365 margin.
