Pine Bush Band announces summer concert schedule

The Pine Bush Community Band has four dates lined up for summer entertainment.

The band, which has been in existence for nearly 40 year, consists of 45+ musicians of all ages and abilities. Their mission is the education and enrichment of amateur, student, and professional musicians; education and enrichment of the public; and the preservation of the tradition of band music in community gatherings. They perform many styles of music including patriotic, classic, show, contemporary, and holiday.

The first concert of the season will take place on Monday, June 27 at 7 p.m. at the Wooster Memorial Grove Gazebo, 89 East Main St., in Walden. The program includes music from The Pirates of Penzance, Irish Tune from the County Darby, Benny Goodman’s Sing Sing Sing and the theme from The Magnificent Seven.

Additional concerts are Sunday, July 17 at 3 p.m. at the Montgomery Senior Center and Monday, July 25 at 7 p.m. at St. Paul’s Roman Catholic Church, Route 17K, Bullville.

The band will also host a concert and band picnic in the part on Sunday, September 11 at 3 p.m. at the Crawford Town Park, Red Mills Road. Rain date for this concert is September 18.
