The Town of Newburgh Police seek assistance and donations for fellow officer and commander Lieutenant Robert DeSaye who is in need of cancer treatment.

As of May 24, the donation page has raised $56,705 for DeSaye’s cancer treatment. According to the FundtheFirst page created for DeSaye, DeSaye was diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder with partial kidney failure. DeSaye was then diagnosed with cancer.

The form of cancer that DeSaye has developed is Stage 4 poorly differentiated neuroendocrine cancer. DeSaye’s police officer career goes back 25 years with 20 years of service to the Town of Newburgh Police Department.
