New water and sewer rates

The Newburgh Town Board approved the resolution to amend water rates at their Dec. 27, 2021 workshop meeting.

All of these rate changes were discussed during the November 3, 2021 special town meeting. Newburgh Town Attorney, Mark Taylor, read out the following changes to those present:

The first 7,500 gallons of water used will be charged at the minimum $20.00 per quarter. The next 10,000 used will increase from $4.62 per 1,000 gallons to $4.66 per 1,000 gallons. The next 82,500 gallons will increase from $5.32 per 1,000 to $5.36 per 1000 gallons. Over 100,000 gallons will increase from $6.32 per 1000 to $6.36 per 1,000 gallons. The three rates per 1000 gallon increase by four cents each. The $20 minimum charge will stay the same.
For the Crossroads Consolidated Sewer District, the rate will increase from $5.94 to $6.12 per 1,000 gallons. The Nob Hill sewer district rate will increase to $8.50 to $8.64 per 1,000 gallons.

For the Roseton Hills Sewer District, the Combined Operation and Maintenance and Facility Charge will increase to $576 from the previous $560 dollars.
