Twenty-seven travelers from Highland, Marlboro and Wallkill embarked on an eight-day tour of Japan during the Easter holiday.

The cities of Osaka, Kyoto, Hiroshima and Tokyo were all visited. Highlights included the Peace museum in Hiroshima, the 1,200-year-old Kiyomizu Dera Temple in Kyoto and, riding the Shinkansen (bullet train) to Tokyo. Former Highland student Sharon Rhodes exclaimed “Japan was a true cultural experience! Sightseeing, culinary exploration, and a glimpse into a group of people that have a respect for everything”
