League of Women Voters to host Zoom program on upcoming election

The League of Women Voters of the Mid-Hudson Region is presenting a virtual program What’s On Your Ballot? on Sunday, Oct. 17, at 2 p.m. via Zoom.

This Election Day, a number of local positions as well as important referenda, will be on your ballots. From Same-Day Voter Registration to Environmental Rights, issues that the League has long supported have finally come before the public for a vote. Join us, Jennifer Wilson (Deputy Director of LWVNY) and Dr. Gerald Benjamin, founder of the Benjamin Center at SUNY New Paltz, as we explain these referenda and the League’s positions on them. We will also be reviewing referenda the League does not currently have positions on as well as the local offices that may also appear on your ballot, providing background so that you can make a knowledgeable decision. Inform your vote!

All are welcome to this free program. For more information and event link, email lwvmidhudson@gmail.com, call 845-340-2003 or sign up on our Facebook event page.
