The law firm of Jacobowitz and Gubits, LLP (J&G) is pleased to announce that Kelly A. Pressler, Partner, concentrating in general, commercial, municipal, and Surrogate’s Court litigation, was installed as President of the Women’s Bar Association of Orange and Sullivan Counties (“WBAOSC”), the local chapter of the Women’s Bar Association of the State of New York (“WBASNY”). Michele L. Babcock, Managing Partner, concentrating in municipal, land use and environmental law, was installed as Vice President of WBAOSC and delegate to WBASNY.
This is Kelly’s second term as President, and she previously served as Vice President, Recording Secretary, and Treasurer. She also served 4 years as an Officer for WBASNY.
Michele previously served as Vice President and Corresponding Secretary of WBAOSC.
WBAOSC is one of 20 chapters of WBASNY, an organization with over 4,000 members. The mission statement is to promote the advancement of the status of women in society and of women in the legal profession; to promote the fair and equal administration of justice; and to act as a unified voice for its members with respect to issues of statewide, national and international significance to women generally and to women attorneys in particular.
