“Boomerang” When history repeats itself. This is the adage that has cautioned generations not to make the mistakes of the past. But, like a cursed boomerang, inequality that we had seemingly progressed beyond comes back and strikes. When Roe v. Wade was overturned, it was as if the world suddenly jumped back 60 years. Our modern society is now threatened by the same fear and desperation that women felt before the historic ruling. This collection of images focuses on the experience of women in a time before Roe v. Wade, whose lives and emotions can be reflected onto a growing portion of women in the modern day United States.
