Jacobowitz and Gubits welcomes two new attorneys

 Jacobowitz and Gubits, LLP (J&G) is pleased to announce that two new attorneys have joined the firm. Rebecca Baldwin Mantello has joined the firm’s Business Consumer Team as Senior Counsel concentrating in civil and commercial litigation, personal injury, and appeals. Michael J. Kenney has joined the firm’s Property Government Team as an Associate Attorney handling real estate, landlord/tenant, and foreclosure matters.

Rebecca earned her Juris Doctorate from Albany Law School in 2007. She is admitted to practice law in the States of New York and Connecticut. Prior to joining J&G, Rebecca was Principal Law Clerk to the late Hon. Steven I. Milligram, Orange County Supreme Court. Rebecca also worked in the office of the Governor for over four years handling matters involving Freedom of Information Law, Open Meetings Law, and Personal Privacy Protection Law.

Rebecca is a member and past-President of the Women’s Bar Association of Orange and Sullivan Counties and is a social member of the Wallkill Volunteer Ambulance Corps. She was recognized as a Super Lawyer Upstate New York Rising Star, Appellate Practice 2013-2015 and is the recipient of the 2012 Outstanding New Lawyer Award from the Women’s Bar Association of Orange and Sullivan Counties. Outside of work, Rebecca enjoys running and cooking.

Michael earned his Juris Doctorate from Pace University School of Law in 2008 and is admitted to practice in the State of New York. Prior to joining J&G, Michael worked in private practice concentrating on foreclosure proceedings, evictions, and commercial and residential real estate transactions. Outside of work, Michael enjoys traveling, history, movies, and art.
