Hospice of Orange & Sullivan Counties is honored to extend a special invitation to all veterans for the upcoming Veterans Celebration. This event, dedicated to honoring and recognizing the service and sacrifices of our brave veterans, will take place on June 14, from 9 to 11 a.m. at the prestigious Otterkill Country Club.

All veterans are cordially invited to attend this event free of charge. However, due to limited space, we kindly request veterans to register in advance to secure their participation. Registration can be completed online at hospiceoforange.com/event/2023-veterans-celebration or by calling (845) 561-6111.

The Veterans Celebration will feature a special guest, Alan C. Mack, an esteemed author and retired Chief Warrant Officer Five of the US Army. With over 35 years of service, Mack’s illustrious military career includes numerous accolades such as the Legion of Merit, two Distinguished Flying Crosses, three Bronze Stars, and 10 Air Medals, among others. As a Special Operations Flight Leader, he collaborated with various elite units and government agencies. Mack’s first book, “Razor 03: A Night Stalker’s Wars,” was published in 2022. He currently serves as the Deputy Commissioner for Orange County, NY’s Division of Emergency Management.

During the Veterans Celebration, Hospice of Orange & Sullivan Counties will also present the prestigious Vet-to-Vet Volunteer Award. This year’s recipient, Robert M. Burton, retired US Air Force MSGT, will be recognized for his outstanding dedication and service as a Vet-to-Vet volunteer.
