On Saturday, September 7, from 10 a.m. - 3:30 p.m., join the Hudson Highlands Nature Center for Butterfly Day at the Outdoor Discovery Campus, located at 120 Muser Drive (off Angola Road) in Cornwall! Discover the beauty and incredibly unique qualities of butterflies, moths and caterpillars.
Children and adults alike will get a thrill getting “up close and personal” with butterflies in the Butterfly Tent. With the purchase of each ticket, you will also be registering for a ½ hour slot during which you will have several minutes to enter and enjoy the Butterfly Tent.
Be a Citizen Scientist as you observe Nature Educators tag and release Monarch Butterflies at 12 p.m. and 3 p.m. as part of ‘Monarch Watch.’ Plus, Grasshopper Grove will be open for Nature Play. Recommended for ages 3 and up.
Pre-registration is required and closes on Friday, September 6 at 3 p.m.
HHNMC Members: $10 per person ages 3 and up.
Not- yet-Members: $14 per person ages 3 and up. Children 2 and under are free.
