There are  two fund raising events at American Legion Montgomery Post 521, 2130 Rt. 208, Montgomery  coming up: They are in the process of renovating their post after 40 years of having a Child Care tenant, and they now are focusing on Veteran needs and affairs, requiring a building suited for these events.

All requiring money to accomplish. The first is a delicious Breakfast Fundraiser on March 30th from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Start your day with a hearty breakfast and support a great cause. Join them at the Legion for a morning filled with good food, community spirit and camaraderie. The menu includes blueberry, chocolate chip and plain pancakes with syrup, scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage, fresh fruits and juices, coffee and tea. Ticket prices are: adults, $ 10.00, children 12 and under $ 5.00, Veterans $ 7.00. There will be a 50/50 raffle too!

Then on Saturday, May 3 from 8 to 4 they will host a Yard Sale. Vendors are welcome, the cost is $25.00 for a 10 x 10 spot, bring your own table. Contact Darlene at 845-527-1504 or 845-566-7655. There will be bagels, muffins, burgers, hot dogs, chips, coffee, soda and water for sale. This is a good way to get rid of all the items you don’t want that you found Spring cleaning and make a little money.

The annual St. Patrick’s Day Mass at 4 p.m. and dinner following at St. Mary’s Assumption Church will be held on March 15.
Call the office 845-457-1738 for information and tickets for this fundraising event.

Upcoming events in Montgomery are:  Breakfast with the Easter Bunny  on Saturday, April 12 at the Montgomery Senior Center. Also an  Adoption and Vendor Fair on May 17 at Veterans Memorial Park, which I also believe is Montgomery Yard Sale Day so these dreary days of winter are a good time to clean out and get ready for that. I know I am! Go to: events25@ yahoo.com for both.

The Montgomery Food Pantry is in need of pancake mix, clean paper bags and reusable bags.
