By Mici Polizzi Simonofsky, Community Connections Coordinator
For over 15 years we have been awaiting our vacant TOMVAC building to be resurrected for Town use. The late Assemblyman Frank Skartados knew of the need and provided two State awards to upgrade the building’s renovation into a community center. With the bidding plans beginning late last year, and now happening, work on the building has begun.
Community Connections is an non-political initiative sponsored by the Marlborough Democratic Committee to engage all members of the community in lively discourse. Supervisor Scott Corcoran and Councilman David Zambito will speak at the next virtual Google Meet on Wednesday, April 6, 7-8 p.m. They will describe the renovations, costs and targeted opening date of the building.
You must register to obtain the link (sent 30 minutes prior to the meeting start) for the virtual meeting at mdc-ny.com or by visiting the Town of Marlborough Democrats page on Facebook.
