The fire call came in to the New Paltz Fire Department at 4:35 p.m. on Sunday, December 19 of a structure fire in an attached garage that was engulfed in flames at 220 Plutarch Road, New Paltz. The garage suffered significant damage and a car port next to it appeared to be totaled. The cause of the fire is under investigation and no injuries were reported. The fire event also involved the Highland, Modena, and Esopus fire departments who were called to the scene to assist.
