Deputy Fire Coordinator Fred Theadore will retire as of January 2 after 26 years of service as Deputy Fire Coordinator 36-11 (Battalion 1). A retirement celebration was held in Fred’s honor this year at the December Battalion 1 meeting, hosted by Silver Lake FD and the Battalion 1 Fire Departments.

“Fred is a wealth of knowledge, a friend to many, and a staple in the fire service here in Orange County. It has been great working with you on mutual aid scenes, and at different social events throughout the years,” noted a post on the Bullville Fire Department Facebook Page. “Thank you for all of your hard work, the time and training you have invested in, and commitment to the citizens of Battalion 1, Orange County, and New York State.”
