The Cornwall Dragons girls basketball team made a resounding statement in their return to action after a December road loss, dismantling the Washingtonville Wizards 67-26 on Tuesday night.

The home-court advantage proved decisive as Cornwall extended their winning streak to three in dominant fashion.

Emerson Shapiro led the Dragons with 13 points, showcasing her scoring ability and setting the pace for her team. Karis Addison added 12 points, and Ana Sonic contributed eight as Cornwall’s balanced offensive attack overwhelmed Washingtonville.

The Dragons have been on a tear lately, winning three of their last four contests and improving their season record to 4-2. Over this stretch, Cornwall has outscored their opponents by an average margin of 49.3 points.

The Dragons are on the road this week, at Port Jervis on Wednesday.
