The Town of Crawford has settled a tax certiorari claim by the Harvest Inn Hotel, located at 95 Boniface Drive.

“They were hit pretty dramatically by COVID,” Supervisor Charles Carnes said.

The hotel had filed suit with State Supreme Court in Orange County for a reduction of its tax assessment for the 2020-21 and 2021-22 school tax year. The hotel property had been assessed at $804,200 each year. The corrected assessment, following an agreement with the town, is $649,905 each year.

The 2022-23 assessment will be established at an equalized full market value of $1.85M.
