Back in November, a 42-unit residential project to house mostly seniors and veterans was proposed to the Crawford planning board. Since then, a site plan and modifications have been made.
Last Wednesday, Engineer Vincent Pietrzak of Pietrzak & Pfau and project applicant and owner of Warwick Properties, LLC Jonah Mandelbaum approached the Crawford planning board with a detailed site plan with lighting, landscaping, sewer, septic and more. Pietrzak and Mandelbaum are planning a similar building for Montgomery.
The Crawford space would be located at 65 Boniface Drive, and would contain 42 residential apartment units with 39 one bedrooms, 2 two bedrooms, and one three bedroom which would be utilized by a full-time caretaker. Some past concerns for the project were parking and a lack of two-bedrooms. Chairwoman Linda Zwart asked that they show parking in the plan at the next meeting. Other questions came up about the existing pond and signage, but nothing was set in stone.
The next step in the process is for the town engineer and town planner to review the site plan.
