City offers free masks, hand sanitizers

The City of Newburgh is pleased to announce that it will distribute disposable face masks and hand sanitizers to organizations and small businesses operating in the City of Newburgh in a continuing effort to stem the tide of COVID-19 and safeguard City of Newburgh residents and workers.

The critical PPE supply is made available through the City of Newburgh CDBG-CV, Community Development Grant, Cares Act Funding.

The disposable face masks and hand sanitizers are provided as part of the City’s overall COVID-19 response efforts. The City of Newburgh faces a unique set of challenges related to the COVID-19 pandemic. The city’s population is condensed in less than four square miles, making it one of the densest communities in the Hudson Valley.

The City’s Planning and Development Department is spearheading the mask and hand sanitizer distribution effective immediately, until supplies last.
The City of Newburgh, will provide each organization and small business up to 10 boxes of 50 disposable masks and 3 cases of 24 hand sanitizers.

Organizations and small businesses in need of disposable face masks and hand sanitizers must contact the City of Newburgh Planning & Development Department at 845-569-9400 to submit their request and arrange a pick-up time at 123 Grand Street, Newburgh, NY 12550.
