Highland Rotary Club is hosting a Community Yard Sale on Saturday, September 24, from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. at the American Legion Hall, 84 Grand Street, Highland. Proceeds will benefit the veterans at the American Legion Post 193 and the Rotary’s School Lunch Fund and Literacy Initiative at Highland Central School District. This is a rain or shine event.

Three options to support the Rotary event are available: shop, sell, or donate. Bargain hunters can come and browse the huge assortment of items that will be available for purchase inside the American Legion Hall or at one of the outside vendor booths. Everything sold from within the hall is cash-only and the proceeds will be donated to the identified causes.

Don’t need anything? Donations are also being accepted and can be dropped off from 4 - 7 p.m. on Thursday, September 22 or Friday, September 23. If you can’t make it those times, call 914-489-0941 to make alternate arrangements. Neatly bagged, clean clothing items that are in good condition will be accepted. Items not selected for sale will be added to the on-site clothing donation shed in the American Legion Post 193 parking lot. Large furniture cannot be accepted. All electronics must be in working condition. Flat screen TVs will be accepted. Please only donate items that are in good condition and are sellable; items determined to not meet these conditions may be refused. Please note that unsold items will not be returned.

Community members can also reserve their own outdoor vendor space. Each 10X10 space is $25. Space is limited and will be assigned on a “first come, first served” basis. Registration and payment must be received by September 20, 2022. Vendor setup will be Saturday, September 24 between 7 - 9 a.m. Vendors must provide their own tables, chairs, tents, etc. No alcohol/drugs; weapons; or sale of obscene materials is permitted. There is no garbage removal, so vendors must remove all unwanted items at the end of the sale. Visit highlandrotaryclub.com to reserve a space.
