WellNow facility under construction on Route 300

Posted

The former Sterling National Bank building has been demolished with the anticipated WellNow Facility currently being built on the site. Approval for the site was given to the applicant following the Town of Newburgh Planning Board’s March 3, 2022 meeting. No public hearing was held.

The project, located in an interchange business [IB] town zone, proposed the demolition of the current bank building for a new redeveloped 3,515 plus or minus square foot medical office and urgent care facility. The project would be on a 1.92 plus or minus acre parcel in the Stop and Shop shopping plaza along Route 300. The site would be accessed by the shopping centers entrances on Route 300 and Meadow Hill Road and would be served by existing water and sewer lines. The project was represented by Colliers Engineering and Design and GWG Construction Management.

The current skeleton of the building along with additional exterior paneling have been added to the site. Proposed cleaning and fencing around the adjacent stormwater ponds was proposed to the board and blacktop would be cleared and repaved. As a subsidiary of the Aspen Dental company, the WellNow facility would follow the company color schemes required for their buildings. Since the meeting in March, there have been further updates on the project and no announced opening date.
