Our new governor, Kathy Hochul needs to show her commitment to aggressive climate policies such as those that phase out new gas-powered cars by 2030.

The Climate and Community Protection Act (CLCPA) of 2019 sets ambitious goals that calls for 70% carbon free electricity by 2030 and 100% by 2040 which effectively puts a moratorium on new gas infrastructure. To comply with this law, we need to urge our new governor to deny permits for new gas-fired power plants such as Danskammer.
