The Highland Public Library offers a number of beginner and custom computer classes on Thursdays between 1 and 4 p.m.

You can register online at Highlandlibrary.org.

Several curbside craft sessions are upcoming:
Create A  Guinea Pig Card. Registration is required. Guinea card kits are available through our curbside service until Saturday, May 14. This is for elementary-school age children.

Curbside: 3D Paper Town Craft Kits  are available to be picked up through our curbside service or by stopping in all week long until Saturday May 14th. The kit includes template and instructions. Registration is required. Ages 8-12.

Kits are limited to 10 and registration is required. Please register each child who will be getting a kit. We will have a craft themed book for you to check out if you choose. The book will be checked out to you and will be due in 3 weeks. Crafts need to be picked up within week of craft.

The Knitting Circle has been renamed to Yarn and Yak and is inclusive of all yarn crafters who want to come to the library work on their projects with us, get a little help and make new friends in the process.

Come craft with us on the third Tuesday of the month while we spin our yarns and produce amazing handmade items. If you don’t have a yarn craft to work on, not to worry. We have a project for you. You can learn how to loom knit hats with donated yarn that will provide much needed warmth to folks who need a little handmade comfort in their lives right here in our community.
You don’t have to loom knit. You can crochet or knit in the traditional style or be as fancy as you want.

The next Yarn and Yak will take place on Tuesday, May 17, 1 - 2 p.m.

The Library of Things is a new collection of non-traditional library items available to patrons to check out with your library card. We are an institution that supports lifelong learning for all.

No matter what your interests are, you will discover something new for yourself or your family in the areas of S.T.E.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) and everything from cooking and baking to crafts.
Check this list often to see what we have added to our library. You may check out an item for 3 weeks. All items must be picked up and dropped off at The Highland Public Library.
