Hey Kids! Get a Library Card or Show Your Library Card for a Chance to Win a Prize during the month of September. If you can sign your name, you are eligible for your library card!

The Highland Public Library offers in-person computer assistance every Thursday, noon - 4 p.m. Visit highlandlibrary.org computer-classes to register and choose your time.

You can reserve time for any computer class at your convenience. Just click on the reserve button to choose a day/time and complete the form. You will receive a call prior to your class to discuss your learning goals. Meeting information will be sent prior to your class.  Prefer to stay home? We can set up a Zoom meeting. If you can not find a time that suits your need on the calendar, please e-mail ddavies@highlandlibrary.org with your requested time. We will do our best to accommodate you. If you need help with Microsoft products like Word, Excel and PowerPoint, you must bring your own working computer with software installed.

The Ulster County Food Fight is an annual food collection contest held in cooperation with twelve libraries throughout Ulster County from Thursday, September 1 to Friday, October 15.

The “Food Fight” is part of the Great Give Back that is happening on October 15 throughout New York State.

The common goal is to “spread food all over Ulster County,” by filling up the shelves of local food pantries, and to put an end to hunger in our communities. The library that collects the highest number of food items during this period wins the Food Fight and receives a winners’ certificate!

Help your library win the Food Fight with your donations of non-perishable (and non-expired) food items for local food pantries. It sounds like a messy fight, but this is a clean competition with other libraries in Ulster County.

Don’t know what to donate? Donate our Food of the Day.
