Michael Lembo
Plattekill Democrat Michael Lembo is running for a seat on the Town Board. It is his first time running for Councilman and his name on the ballot will be on Row A. He has the endorsement of the Plattekill Democratic Party.
“I want to serve because I am a dedicated member of the community and a life-long resident,” he said.
In the 1980s Lembo was the Deputy Supervisor, a 10 year member of the Town’s Planning Board, a former Southern Ulster Rotary charter member, a former member of the Lions Club of Plattekill and a business owner.
Lembo feels Plattekill, “needs better control over our spending and the increased costs to our taxpayers.” He said he would work to attract more businesses to Plattekill in order to alleviate some of the tax burden upon residents. He states that, “many of our citizens feel they are stretched too thin. I would want to pursue grants to secure future funding for our park and emergency services, for our Police and Fire Departments and our EMTs. These are a few examples that could significantly impact our community for the better.”
