The Marlborough Town Police Benevolent Association (PBA) recently presented students Robert (RJ) Jackson and Michael Pascale with certificates of appreciation and gift cards for their assistance with the town’s annual Blue Light Tree Lighting ceremony. The tree lighting took place at Marlborough Police headquarters on December 5, and honors officers who have died in the line of duty – with a special commemoration of the 13 New York State officers who died in 2024.
Jackson, a senior at Marlboro Central High School and a trumpet player in the high school band, played taps during the ceremony. Pascale read the names of 13 New York officers. In honoring the two students, the Marlborough PBA thanked Jackson and Pascale for their willingness to help each year in commemorating the sacrifices of police who have died in the line of duty throughout the U.S.
