Shirley Sledzianowski, of New Windsor, entered into rest on November 29, 2023. She was 88.
Daughter of the late Louis and Lillian (Dubois) Harris, she was born May 30, 1935 in Newburgh.
A lifelong area resident, Shirley was a retired bus driver for George M. Carroll Transportation, Newburgh. She enjoyed bingo, crocheting and her trips to the casinos. She loved the holidays and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survivors include three sons, Stanley (Sally) Sledzianowski, Jr., of Gilbert, AZ, Stephen (Susan) Sledzianowski, of Walden, and Scott (Renee) Sledzianowski of Montgomery, NY; three daughters, Susan (Bruce) Lockowitz of Middletown, Sharon (Gus) Palentino of New Windsor, and Shelly (Russell) Vidi of Walden; one brother, Robert Harris of Newburgh; four sisters, Ruthann Redford of New Windsor, NY, Sandra Morrison of Cornwall, NY, Jacquine Lynch of Newburgh and Beverly Cannelli of New Windsor, sixteen grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Stanley Sledzianowski in 2006, a brother, Louis Harris and two sisters, Doris Williams and Mable Brewster.
Private cremation has taken place at Cedar Hill Crematory.
Plans for a Celebration of Shirley’s Life will be announced at a later date.
