I recently met up with Rob Morris and his 1968 Bullitt Mustang at the Highland Saturday Night Car Cruise hosted by the Dutchess Cruisers. Rob’s Mustang has a 351 Cleveland Engine that pushes close to 300 horsepower to the rear wheels. It has a 4-speed transmission and 58,000 original miles on it. The color of the car is Highland Green. Rob has owned the car for approximately 15 years. He said that he inherited the car from his dad. Rob said that the car received new quarters, frame rails, new exhaust, carpet, headliner, and an entire new fuel system. The 1968 Bullitt Mustang was made famous by the classic movie “Bullitt” starring Steve McQueen and the greatest car chase ever filmed.

Rob’s favorite music to cruise with is Rock & Roll. His favorite person to cruise with is his buddy, “Goodie.” His best moments with his Mustang is when he does “burnouts” with his daughter, Cora. Rob’s dream car is a 1969 Boss 429 Mustang. His first car that he owned was a 1972 Ford Torino.
