Each year the Police Departments in the Towns of Marlboro and Lloyd collect toys that will be given to children in their respective towns.
In Marlborough photo is Chief Gerald Cocozza, Dispatcher Jenna Galasso, Dispatcher Kara Shier, Head Dispatcher Jennifer Geremino, Secretary to the Town Supervisor Tina Rosa and Dispatcher Carrie Ronk.
They have been doing this toy drive for more than 25 years and all donations stay local and this year they have helped more than 100 children.
In the Town of Lloyd photo, Chief James Janso is flanked by Officers Taylor Schmidt and Kristy Garcia. Chief Janso said the toys go to the Methodist Church in the hamlet.
“They have a list of local families who come in to pick up the toys. We have been doing this for almost 15 years and our community always comes through for us. Every kid needs to have a toy under the tree at Christmas,” he said.
