This Sunday, January 26, a silent auction of paintings that were done by local landscape artist Louise Hull Clarke will be held from 1-4pm at the Locust Grove Brewery, 162 North Rd., Milton.

Brewery owner Chip Kent acquired 70 paintings by Clarke and he will also do a live auction of a number of her paintings near the end of the event. There will be live music by Laura Leigh and Kit Cowan. All proceeds will go to the Sarah Hull Hallock Library in Milton and to the Marlborough Arts Coalition [MaArCo]

Louise “Weesie” Hull Clark was born in Poughkeepsie on October 19, 1923 and was a graduate of Smith College, class of 1945. She moved to Milton after marrying James R. Clarke in 1948.
