Kenneth T. Halstead (Ken) passed away on Thursday, December 12, 2024, just shy of his 83 birthday, at his home in Milton, New York. Ken, or “Butch” as he was known to his family, was born in Buffalo, NY, on December 14, 1941, to Margaret Tower Halstead and Herbert A. Halstead. He was the oldest of three sons.

Ken was a Senior Title Examiner for the New York State Attorney General’s Office for 38 years. He worked out of the Poughkeepsie office and roamed all over the region, researching land ownership records for projects of the state, making friends in every office. On August 6, 1983, he married Phyllis M. (Gray) Halstead.

Ken is survived by his daughters, Cara Cea, of Suffern, NY, (son-in-law, Christian Cea), Robin M. Alexander of Canandaigua, NY, and Christine Alexander Boucher, of Nashua, NH; grandchildren Christian Halstead, Angela Cea, Alijhiah Minor, Jharid Minor, Allen Odell, Alicia Boucher, Zachary Boucher, and great-grandchildren Connor Odell, Carleigh Odell, and Renee Minor. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Phyllis and grandsons, Matthew Odell and Ryan Odell.

Ken was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. He treasured his time with family and friends and never turned down an invitation to a lunch, dinner, party, or family gathering. He made friends everywhere he went – coffee shops, stores, restaurants, and especially the gym. Ken was a lifelong Buffalo Bills fan and a racecar enthusiast. He met Phyllis at Watkins Glen International, where he went annually to enjoy races with friends. His warm and caring personality, friendly smile, and contagious laugh will forever be missed by his family and friends.

Calling hours and funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, from 4- 7pm at the DiDonato Funeral Home, 1290 Route 9W, Marlboro, NY.

Burial will take place the following day, Thursday, January 9, 11am graveside at Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery, Poughkeepsie, NY.
