Kathleen T. Rosa of Pine Bush, (nee Harrington), beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, was reunited with the love of her life on October 21, 2023, surrounded by her loving family after a brief illness.
Kitty, as her family called her, was born on July 16, 1940, to Patrick and Catherine Harrington of White Plains, NY. She graduated from White Plains High School and worked at the New York Telephone Company. She married the love of her life, Lenny Rosa Sr, in 1965 and had two children.
Kitty and her husband, Lenny, became the proud co-owners of the Famous Lenny’s Hot Dogs, a beloved establishment that served the community for over 30 years. Kitty was predeceased by her husband, Lenny, in 2015. She is survived by her son, Lenny Jr. (Andrea), daughter Maureen Scully, and four grandchildren, Daria Caston (Jason), Kiara Rosa, Leo Rosa, and Logan Rosa, and a great-granddaughter, Kinsley Caston.
As a grandmother, Kitty was a beacon of love and support to her grandchildren. She took immense joy in watching them grow and sharing their triumphs. Kitty’s love expanded even further with the arrival of her great-granddaughter, who brought an extra sparkle to her eyes. Kitty will be remembered for her warm smile, kind heart and witty disposition. Kitty’s love for her family was immeasurable, and she left behind a legacy of love, strength and resilience. Her memory will be forever etched in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
In honor of Kitty’s life, a funeral mass will be held on Saturday, November 11, 2023, at Saint Paul Roman Catholic Church, 84 Sherwood Avenue, Greenwich, CT, at 10 a.m. Family and friends are invited to come together to celebrate her life. Donations can be made to Saint Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Kathleen’s name.
