John Sansevieri of Wallkill, passed away at home on Thursday, July 27, 2023. He was 78.
The son of the late Samuel and Viola Miller Sansevieri, he was born on March 28, 1945 in Newburgh. John was a laborer for various construction firms throughout the Hudson Valley. He loved his family and will be dearly missed by them.
John is survived by; daughters, Linda Scheck (Robert) of Wallkill, Beverly Spignardo (Dominick) of Wallkill, Julie Sansevieri of Wallkill; grandchildren, Anthony and Andrew Labar, Nicole May, Robbie Scheck, Michelle Miller, Thomas Spignardo, Bella Spignardo, Dominick Spignardo, Deanne Sansevieri, Nicholas Sisco and David Valenzuela; great grandchildren, Ava and Allie Labar, John Caston, Wyatt and Avery Sisco; several nieces and nephews and several great nieces and great nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents; son, John E. Sansevieri; great grandson Nicholas Sisco; several brothers and sisters.
A funeral mass was held on Monday, July 31 at Sacred Heart Church, Newburgh. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery, New Windsor.
